Our Candles
What are your candles made of?
100% Beeswax forever and always! We believe in using natural materials, not only in our candles, but also in the production process. We use cotton to filter the beeswax, glass containers to store the wax and candles, metal for melting and pouring, and natural packaging materials (outside of shipping companies materials).
Where does your beeswax come from?
Our beeswax comes from Blue Ridge Honey Co., right here in North Georgia. We source locally to support regional beekeepers and to ensure the golden color and natural honey scent that makes our candles unmistakable. Every batch carries the essence of the Southern Appalachian foothills.
Do your candles have fragrance or scent added?
No added fragrances, ever. What you're smelling is pure, unfiltered North Georgia honey and beeswax—the way fire was meant to smell. We don't mask it, we don't "improve" it, and we certainly don't synthetically recreate it. If you want artificial scent, the mass-market shelf is that way.
Why don't you offer scented candles?
Because beeswax doesn't need help. The moment you add synthetic fragrance oils or essential oils, you're compromising the purity of the burn and introducing chemicals we refuse to put in our products. Eldnac Candle is about returning to what fire was and is, just like old times.
Shipping
Do you offer free shipping?
Yes! Orders of $100 or more shipped within the contiguous United States qualify for free standard shipping. Orders under $100 have a flat $8 shipping fee. Alaska, Hawaii, and international orders are not eligible for free shipping.
Why do you only sell candles in pairs or sets?
Because candles aren't meant to be used alone. Whether you're setting a table for two, lighting up a reading nook, or creating a meditation altar, fire works better in multiples. Plus, bulk buying improves our shipping efficiency and gets you better unit pricing. It's a win across the board.
How long does shipping take?
We ship same-day or next-day on all orders, and most packages arrive within 3-5 business days depending on your location. Every candle is hand-poured to order, so you're getting something made specifically for you—not something that's been sitting in a warehouse since July.
Do you ship internationally?
Not yet, but we're working on it. Right now we're focused on dialing in the domestic experience before we expand. If you're outside the U.S. and want to be notified when international shipping launches, drop us an email and we'll add you to the list.
Using Your Candles
How do I get the best burn from my Eldnac candles?
Trim your wick to ¼ inch before every burn. Let the wax pool fully to the edge of the candle on the first burn (this prevents tunneling). Don't blow out the flame—snuff it or pinch it with wetted fingers like our ancestors did. Treat the candle like the tool it is, not like decoration.
How long do your candles burn?
Tapers burn approximately 8-10 hours per pair. Pillars burn 40-60 hours depending on how you use them. But honestly? Don't overthink it. Light the candle. Let it burn. The point isn't to hoard the hours—it's to be present for the ones you spend with the flame.
Are beeswax candles safe to burn around pets or children?
Beeswax is non-toxic and produces negative ions when it burns, which actually purifies the air (unlike paraffin candles that release petrochemicals). That said, any open flame requires supervision. Keep candles out of reach of children and pets, never leave them unattended, and use basic fire safety common sense. We make clean candles—not childproof ones.
Eldnac Philosophy
What does "Eldnac" mean?
Eldnac is "Candle" reversed. It breaks down into Eld (Old Norse for "fire") and -nac (a Gaulish suffix meaning "the place of"). Put together: Eldnac is The Place of Fire. It's a return to ancestral fire-keeping, a rejection of the industrialized candle industry, and a reminder that flame has always been humanity's first meditation tool.
What is a "Presence Anchor"?
A Presence Anchor is any tool or practice that pulls you out of distraction and back into the present moment. For us, that's a candle. It's the flicker that makes you stop scrolling. The flame that holds your attention during meditation. The ritual that marks the transition from work mode to reading mode. It's not mystical—it's just intentional. And it works.

Returns and Guarantees
What's your return policy?
If you're not satisfied, we'll make it right. Damaged candles get replaced immediately. If you're unhappy with your purchase for any other reason, reach out within 30 days and we'll work something out. We're a small operation built on trust and quality—not fine print.
Can I cancel or modify my order after placing it?
Email us as soon as possible and we'll do our best. If we haven't poured or shipped yet, we can usually make changes. If it's already on the way, we'll figure out a solution. Just communicate with us—we're humans, not a corporate ticket system.
What if my candle arrives damaged?
We package with care, but sometimes shipping companies don't. If your candle arrives broken, cracked, or less than perfect, email us a photo and we'll send a replacement immediately—no return necessary, no questions asked. We stand behind our work.
